About

FLYATHLON is a multi-sport event that integrates three activities- trail running, fly fishing, and craft beer. While our FLYATHLON races are designed to deliver epically unique and inclusive outdoor experiences, these irreverent races also incentivize our participants (or “Flyathletes”) to “Crowdfund for Conservation,” leveraging products donated by our conservation-minded outdoor industry sponsors.

More Details

This September, Freshwater Conservation Canada is hosting a Flyathon. We’re inviting you to help make this event a success by either purchasing tickets, sponsorships, donations, or all of the above!

Your support will directly fund important projects that protect clean water, improve water quality, and restore critical habitats.

By conserving, protecting and restoring freshwater ecosystems, we can address the impacts of climate change, loss of habitat and ensure healthy waters for generations to come.

fundraising, a minimum of $250. With this, we can come together to celebrate outdoor adventure, conservation, and community. Welcoming of all ages and skillsets!

Run. Cast. Sip.

Set along a native fish-bearing stream, participants will complete a scenic trail route, supported by friends.

Midway racers will stop to catch and release native fish using fly fishing techniques, engaging in ethical angling practices (barbless hooks, proper handling). Fly fishing experts will be present to help.

The race continues until participants end back at the starting point, a local brewery. With food trucks and craft beer, participants celebrate the day and each other's success.
