About the event

Join us for an afternoon of learning, exploration, and fun along the beautiful Bow River!

We’ll meet at the Beaver Sanctuary on Prince’s Island Park to kick off an educational walking tour exploring the river’s rich history, diverse ecosystems, and connections to climate action and justice.

Along the way, we’ll:

  • Explore our complex relationship with beavers and their role in local ecosystems.

  •  Discover the history of Prince’s Island and the Eau Claire Lumber Mill.

  • Learn about Brown Trout spawning, fish habitat needs, and recreational angling.
