About the event

Although the Great Lakes contain 20% of the world's surface fresh water, it remains one of the most mysterious bodies of water in the world. Its area has remained largely unexplored; its secrets are yet to be fully unraveled.


Coming up this September 16th, you'll have the opportunity to watch an expedition executed by Freshwater Conservation Canada's partner, Hidden Below: The Great Lakes, an upcoming documentary about the Great Lakes releasing in 2028.

That means you don't have to wait until 2028 to see what the team discovers. They're livestreaming their expeditions, and Freshwater Conservation Canada is proud to present the next one!
