About the event
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
Volunteers will harvest and plant willow and poplar stakes from the area. These bioengineering efforts will help stabilize streambanks and vegetate restoration areas, and improve habitat for native species.
WHERE?
Volunteers will meet at the Cow Lake Store and Resort (https://maps.app.goo.gl/o1AX7tjZocCGZ5QeA) at 9am. Volunteers and staff will then convoy together to the willow harvesting and planting sites, arriving at site around 9:45am.
The planting site is located at 52.04585698350941, -115.55375836647413. If you would like to meet at the planting site instead, please contact Elliot Lindsay (details below) at least 24hrs ahead of time, so we know to expect you there.
There is cell service at the Cow Lake Store and Resort, but not at the project site. Please have the locations saved to your device before departing. Staff will have inReach devices on site in case of emergencies.
