RBC Supports Courtcliffe Project

To celebrate RBC Blue Water Day Members of the Ted Knott Chapter along with Conservation Halton staff and TUC biologists were on hand at the Waterdown Branch of RBC. Project Biologist Colin Oaks (center) from Trout Unlimited Canada was presented with a cheque from RBC’s Blue Water Fund.

These funds will be used for the restoration of Bronte Creek in Courtcliffe Park located in the town of Carlisle, Hamilton, ON. The Courtcliffe Project , now in phase II, will focus on the replacement of a double culvert with a bridge at the top end of the park that is reducing water quality. This oject is part of a larger vision for the property, which is seeing the former trailer park turned into a natural environment show piece for the community.

The Courtcliffe Park project is a partnership between Trout Unlimited Canada, the Ted Knott Chapter of TUC, Conservation Halton, the City of Hamilton and the Courtcliffe Park Committee.

An upcoming Family Fun Day and Duck Dash at the park will take place on Saturday June 18th at 10:30 am.
