Sustainable Outdoor Recreation and a Vision for Alberta’s Crown Land.
Alberta Environment and Parks are looking for your feedback on sustainable outdoor recreation. TUC has reviewed the associated Crown Land Vision and the Sustainable Outdoor Recreation engagement pages and has submitted a letter to AEP Minister Nixon with our feedback.
Alberta’s public lands are important to all Albertans and are part of our culture and heritage. These spaces also provide the land, water, and natural resources that offer Albertans opportunities in recreation, hunting and fishing, agriculture, and industry. Effective public land management which includes protected areas is essential to ensure the value of our landscapes is maintained or improved, and for watersheds to continue to function well into the future.
The survey is open until Friday, January 15. Please take the time to ensure your voice is heard! This is a good opportunity to help inform how Alberta’s public lands are managed now and into the future.
