Chateauguay Chapter Event

Chateauguay Chapter Event. This past August TUC’s Chateauguay Chapter held an event at the Polish farm in Herdman, Quebec to promote the chapter and the work they are doing on the Chateauguay river watershed.

The chapter held four different workshops that initiated the public to fly fishing and conservation. This event was attended by over 60 people. The event involved important contributors and partners that helped make the day a wonderful success.

Over the course of the day, the event attendees were provided workshops on stream management information by Ambioterra, introduction to fly fishing by MFO, fly casting instruction by certified casting instructors from the MMM and chapter member Pierre Dunant explained the work that had been and was being done on the Collins Brook.  Pierre showed different groups the stream deflectors that the chapter built in 2016.

Guillaume Morin was the driving force behind putting this event together. The Chateauguay Chapter is already looking forward to having another event next year due to the incredible interest from the public that we received.

The chapter would like to thank Ambioterra, MFO, Hooke and Loop Canada, who provided rods and reels for the casting lessons, for their participation in our event.
