EPCOR Presents the Yellow Fish Road in Edmonton. Trout Unlimited Canada works to protect our water, and its award-winning Yellow Fish Road (YFR) program provides a perfect fit with EPCOR, who provides clean and safe water to the City of Edmonton.
The Yellow Fish Road program aligns with two of EPCOR’s pillars for community support: promoting water conservation and stewardship of this invaluable resource; and advancing learning in the sciences, especially in water education and environmental stewardship. TUC’s Yellow Fish Road program provides opportunities for youth and communities and plays a role in inspiring students to explore careers possibilities in relation to the YFR program.
EPCOR has presented the YFR program to the people of Edmonton through presentations, community events and storm drain painting activities since 2015 and has renewed its support for another two years until 2019.
In 2016, the YFR program saw close to 10,000 participants, through 34 presentations and 16 community events, with 18 groups taking action to painting over 550 storm drains and distribute over 3,000 informative door hangers to communities throughout the city.
