SWAT Gets Into Action

Writer: Freshwater Conservation CanadaFreshwater Conservation Canada

SWAT gets into action. Trout Unlimited Canada’s

Ontario SWAT Team has been busy tree planting over the last few days along both Marden Creek and the Eramosa River in Wellington County, Ontario.

Tamarack, Eastern White Cedar and White Spruce were planted along the stream banks to help stabilize the banks, provide shade to the stream and prevent erosion.

Thank you to the Wellington County Green Legacy Programme for supplying some of our trees!

If you are interested in coming out to one of our volunteer workdays, visit the Trout Unlimited Canada website for event dates and information.
