TUC Acknowledged

Writer: Freshwater Conservation CanadaFreshwater Conservation Canada

On Monday August 6th, 2012 Sustain our Great Lakes acknowledged Trout Unlimited Canada for its hard work in the restoration and protection of the ecological integrity of the Great Lakes Basin.

This acknowledgment follows the award of a $75,000 grant to complete the restoration of Bronte Creek in Lowville park.

This final phase of work involves an ambitious re-vegetation plan which will restore the riparian corridor, increase animal diversity, provide homes and food for local animals and decrease water and air temperatures.

Trout Unlimited thanks the Sustain our Great Lakes team for supporting the completion of this important restoration project.
