TUC is disappointed at the unnecessary display of habitat destruction in Kia Canada’s recent ad campaign.
Ads like this perpetuate the irresponsible and illegal behaviour of tearing up gravel bars, rivers and shorelines. Canada is celebrated for the wild and scenic places and rivers portrayed in this ad. Our rivers are part of our country’s natural heritage and vital to but the health and wellbeing of our wildlife, fisheries, and communities.
We encourage Kia Canada to reconsider their marketing strategy to find other creative ways for Kia drivers to enjoy Canada’s “Natural Habitat”.
